Preparing for your Spray Tan

Appointment Preparation

  • Shower, shave and exfoliate 12-24 hours prior to your appointment
  • Moisturize after your shower (no dove or Bath and Bodyworks products)
  • Complete facials, massage, mani/pedi appts prior to your tanning appointment
  • Waxing needs to completed 48 hours prior to appointment
  • Arrive to your appt with no makeup, deodorant, perfume or oils on your skin

What To Wear:

  • Completely up to you as the Client; whatever you are comfortable in! Some clients go fully nude, wear bottoms only or wear tops/bottoms.
  • Please keep in mind what you are spray tanning for and know that anything I spray over will create a tan LINE.

What To Bring:

  • Loose, dark long sleeve clothing
  • If able, no bra. This will prevent rubbing after tanning
  • Slippers, Slides, Flip Flops.
  • If it is raining, bring a raincoat or umbrella and closed toe shoes.

Tan After Care

First Rinse (Most Important)

  • Rinse with lukewarm water only (NO SOAP)
  • Rinse until water runs clear
  • Pat dry or air dry

How to keep your skin flawless:

  • Moisturizer 1-2x daily (THIS IS KEY)
  • Use gentle, sulfate free body wash
  • Take quick, lukewarm showers
  • Pat skin dry after showering
  • Stay hydrated (GLOW STARTS WITHIN)
  • Skip shaving right away—wait at least 24 hours.
  • Stay away from chlorine (pools/hot tubs).
  • Avoid long, hot baths.
  • Limit oil products—oil can cause uneven fading.
    Not all products are created equal—using the right ones will extend your glow and prevent uneven fading.

Exfoliators For Removal (Use Around Day 5-7 only)

  • Gentle Body Scrub
  • Rose and Caramel Tan Remover (available at the spa)

Moisturizer (MOST IMPORTANT)

  • Hempz Moisturizer
  • Cerave Daily Moisturizing Lotion

WEDDINGS (FINAL TAN):
2–3 DAYS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING DAY
BRIDAL TRIALS:
2–4 WEEKS BEFORE THE WEDDING
PHOTO SHOOTS:
2 DAYS BEFORE YOUR SHOOT
VACATIONS & TRIPS:
1-2 DAYS BEFORE DEPARTURE
PARTIES & EVENTS:
1-2 DAYS BEFORE EVENT
MAINTENANCE TANS:
EVERY 7-10 DAYS
